You linger in the cemetery to hold a moment of silence for the recently departed. Soon, however, the silence is broken by a sniffle. You look over to Moonflower, and notice the glimmer of tears in the corner of her glowing eyes.

Moonflower: "He didn't deserve this... s'not fair..."

You wrap your hooves around the young bat pony, and offer her a comforting hug. It takes a few minutes, but she eventually regains her composure with a small, quiet sigh.

Moonflower: "I'm okay."

You nod, and take a few steps away from the elder's headstone.

Honourshine: "I wonder... do the candles have a significance?"

Tsu-Ko: "Of course. It's an ancient unicorn tradition called shin-bio, or lights in the darkness in Ponish. For each close relative of the deceased who still lives, a candle is lit and placed upon the stone."

You cast one final glance to the unlit headstones, and find that this knowledge offers little consolation. For the sake of your party's morale, anyhow, you figure that the time has come for you to move on.

You return to the figure in white hooded robes at the edge of the cemetery's candlelit grounds. Considering that it has been helpful in the past, you decide to try asking it for an audience with Ryokasei the Saint Omen.

Like before, the faceless figure beckons to you, then — without so much as the sound of hoofsteps — begins to move northward. You follow after it into the town's quiet outskirts, and walk in darkness to calming cricketsongs...

Soon, a tall open doorway comes into view, its golden frame illuminated by ornate braziers within. The figure leads you to the doorway, then stops, and gestures for you to enter. You offer a grateful bow, then make your way into the hall beyond.

More braziers guide you further into an otherwise pitch black room until you reach a small bowl-shaped altar. An otherworldly voice resounds around you, and though it is unfamiliar, you have no doubts as to whom it belongs.

Ryokasei: "Welcome, Moon and Stars, to this place where stories come to an end."

Above the altar, the elongated torso of an impossibly large pale horse hangs upside-down from an obscured ceiling. Shackles bind the greater demon's forelegs together, and various trinkets swing lightly from his twin curved horns.

Then, massive chains begin to rattle heavily as he slowly contorts himself backward to face you. Under a long, unkempt black mane shines the golden mask of a blindfolded equine skull.

Ryokasei: "Yet I sense that you are not seeking a final page. Tell me, then, why have you come here?"
